Georgia Baptist Convention Annual Meeting

Georgia Baptists from across the state are invited to gather November 9–11 at First Baptist Atlanta for the 203rd Annual Meeting of the Georgia Baptist Convention.
With the theme ‘Everyone Everywhere,’ this year’s meeting calls every Georgia Baptist to take part in the mission field right where they live. The Annual Meeting provides an opportunity to come together in that shared mission—to be encouraged, equipped, and unified.
The meeting will begin Sunday evening, Nov. 9, with an inspirational service led by First Baptist Atlanta’s worship and music ministry. The featured speaker will be Dr. Jarrett Stephens, senior pastor of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston, Texas. Known for his passion for the Word and the Great Commission, Stephens will challenge and encourage attendees to live out their calling with boldness.
New for 2025, an Evangelism Conference will be incorporated into the annual meeting, taking place on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This day of preaching and equipping is meant to help church leaders and members share the gospel more boldly and clearly in their own communities.
Between the conclusion of the Evangelism Conference and the start of the Monday evening session, attendees can take part in Fireside Chats, hosted in the newly opened First Baptist Atlanta Café. These informal interview-style sessions will highlight encouraging case studies from Georgia churches. Another round of Fireside Chats will take place on Tuesday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., during the lunch break.
GBMB Executive Director Thomas Hammond will highlight how God is working throughout Georgia and provide details on a statewide evangelism initiative. He will present updates on key ministries, including Mission Georgia, Disaster Relief, Send Network Georgia, and Baptist Collegiate Ministries. GBC President Steve Browning, lead pastor of First City Church in Alpharetta, will also deliver a message.
