SUMMARY:ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE ONLINE TRAINING
DESCRIPTION:Training for a church or associational outreach ministry to teach conversational English while demonstrating and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with your students without knowing their languages. \nThe online portion of workshop may be completed between May 21 and June 21\, 2022. A 5-hour interactive portion of the workshop will be conducted live through Zoom on Saturday\, June 25 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Both portions must be completed for North American Mission Board/National Literacy Missions Partnership certification. \nCost: $50.00 per person for those from Georgia Baptist churches. $60 for registrants who are not members of a Georgia Baptist church. \nPlease register online by Monday\, May 16\, 2022. \nBefore the online portion of the workshop begins\, you will be sent the link to begin your Online ESL Training and a PDF of the 191-page ESL Workshop Manual by your trainer. If you prefer to have the ESL Workshop Manuel printed and bound\, the trainer will send you information on how to order. \nThere is a 10 person maximum. Limited to ONE person per registration. SUMMARY:Camp Hawkins Clean Up Days
DESCRIPTION:Join us on May 5 and 6 as we help Camp Hawkins get ready for summer camp.  Located in Mt Airy\, Camp Hawkins is part of Georgia Baptist Children’s Homes and Family Ministries and serves campers 8-21 with special needs.  We’ll be doing extensive cleaning\, clearing and preparation work. Contact Tony Gray at tgray81968@outlook.com if your church would like to send some people to help get Camp Hawkins ready for the summer.

SUMMARY:National Day of Prayer
DESCRIPTION:The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May\, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress\, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on the National Day of Prayer. It exists to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer\, to create appropriate materials\, and to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America’s leaders and its families. The Task Force represents a Judeo Christian expression of the national observance\, based on our understanding that this country was birthed in prayer and in reverence for the God of the Bible. \nThis year’s prayer for America is: \n2022 NATIONAL PRAYER FOR AMERICA\nLord\, we exalt You.\nWe are filled with awe and wonder as our praise joins the heavenly hosts saying\,\n“Holy\, Holy\, Holy is the Lord of hosts\,\nThe whole earth is full of His glory.”\nYou have established Your throne in heaven and the foundations of the earth.\nYou alone are the Creator; the earth is Yours and all it contains is for Your glory.\nYou created and established all of us as Your image bearers.\nMay our lips and lives continually praise You\, reflecting and magnifying You in all our words and ways.\nYou are the author of our days\, You have established Your plans and purpose for us.\nWe respond to your glory and authority in obedience to Your Word and will.\nYou have established prayer that we\, Your children\,\nCan communicate with our Heavenly Father directing\, strengthening\, and discipling us in Your everlasting love.\nWe join heaven’s activities as we lift up our prayers\nAnd pour out our praise\, repentance\, thanks\, intercession and supplication.\nLord\, You have established America through the hearts of our founding fathers and\nthe documents they penned declaring our dependence on Your sovereignty and supremacy.\nWe overflow with gratitude having been firmly rooted and built up in our faith in You.\nLet our reputation be of our faith in Christ alone\,\nour love for all people\, and fruitful lives bearing the attitude\, affections\, and actions of Your Spirit\,\nWho dwells and works within us and through us.\nWe pray for America: the Church\, Family\, Education\,\nMilitary\, Workplace\, Government\, Arts\, Entertainment and Media.\nUnited in Your love\, we exalt the Lord who has established us.\nIn Jesus Name we always pray\, Amen!\nKathy Branzell\nPresident\, National Day of Prayer Task Force
