DESCRIPTION:Appalachian Christmas Backpacks seeks to meet the physical and spiritual needs of people living in  the Appalachian Area and one of the greatest ministry needs occurs at Christmastime. DESCRIPTION:The Baptist Mobile Health Ministry is an evangelistic tool of the Georgia Baptist Mission Board  to enable Georgia Baptist Convention churches and associations to reach out to the underserved of their communities through health care and to minister to their spiritual needs as well.  Dental care is provided by appointment only.  The clinic will be held August 21-24. \nScreening appointments will be set by calling ONLY on Friday\, August 9 from 12 noon – 6 pm or Saturday\, August 10 from 10 am – 2 pm.   Location and directions will be given at that time. \nNO messages may be left. Join in extending God’s care and compassion to His faithful servants — providing the comfort and dignity they deserve. \nMission:Dignity currently helps almost 1\,800 retired SBC ministers\, workers or their widows by providing monthly income to qualified recipients and pays out more than $6.5 million annually in assistance. SUMMARY:National Day of Prayer
DESCRIPTION:The National Day of Prayer is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May\, inviting people of all faiths to pray for the nation. It was created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress\, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman. The Task Force is a privately funded organization whose purpose is to encourage participation on the National Day of Prayer. It exists to communicate with every individual the need for personal repentance and prayer\, to create appropriate materials\, and to mobilize the Christian community to intercede for America’s leaders and its families. DESCRIPTION:Training for a church or associational outreach ministry to teach conversational English while demonstrating and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with your students without knowing their languages. \nThe online portion of workshop may be completed between May 21 and June 21\, 2022. A 5-hour interactive portion of the workshop will be conducted live through Zoom on Saturday\, June 25 from 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Both portions must be completed for North American Mission Board/National Literacy Missions Partnership certification. \nCost: $50.00 per person for those from Georgia Baptist churches. $60 for registrants who are not members of a Georgia Baptist church. \nPlease register online by Monday\, May 16\, 2022. \nBefore the online portion of the workshop begins\, you will be sent the link to begin your Online ESL Training and a PDF of the 191-page ESL Workshop Manual by your trainer.
